Zengakuren students at the head of the struggle,
September 18th, in front of the Diet Building

Near dawn on September 19th, the Abe government railroaded the War Bill for aggression through the House of Councillors.
Suppressing the voices of millions of workers and people against the bill, and guarding the Diet with row upon row of riot squads and armed vehicles, the government passed the bill through the Diet. Against this outrageous act of the Abe government, workers and people's anger is now flaring up all the more. Inspirited by the call of the JRCL to rise in action 'against Ampo [US-Japan military alliance], against fascism', they rose up across the country and have rallied to besiege the Diet Building days and nights.
We, the JRCL, together with revolutionary/militant workers and Zengakuren students, are determined to carry out struggles, with all our strength, to scrap the War Law for aggression, stop the revision of the Constitution of Japan and block the new US base construction in Henoko, Okinawa. We are resolved to fight it out in the forefront of the Japanese working class by overcoming the attempts of the official leaderships to distort the struggle against the War Law into a parliamentarianist campaign for the upcoming House of Councillors election.
Workers and students all over the country! Topple the neo-fascist Abe government with a militant fight of the working class! For this, build a united battle front against fascism! Now is the time to take a resolute step forward!
